Let me know what you think!! Also, will be putting the summer tour dates out soon. Still have a few dates open for May and July.

Updated March 11, 2023!

Big news! Our newest album is finally out and being distributed world-wide. You can find it on the internet on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music . . .. and about 30 other vendors! We are stoked and thankful for all the support for the album and the U.S. tour last summer! We still have a few weekends open this summer if you want to books us – give me a call at 541-577-3153 if you want to reach us.

Welcome to the Country Moonshine website! Thanks for visiting! I finally updated this on January 24, 2023, as the 2022 US Tour kept us occupied. In 2022 we did 38 shows in 8 states (We have included a ton of pictures here – 10,000 miles driven in two months!!). We donated all of the gate from every show to a local charity in an attempt to raise $50,000 for folks less blessed than us. We didn’t make our goal, but did raise a ton of money, in including almost $10,000 for charity in a single night. The charities were chosen based on who they served, and included a children cancer foundation, U.S. Soldier support foundation, retirement homes and local college/vocational scholarships for students. We also donated a lot of money to needy families in Oregon, including children’s hospital. We feel pretty good about what we did and got to see the WHOLE dang country!!

Let me tell ya . . . .. . it is a lot harder touring at my current age than it was when I was 25 years old! We didn’t have any ‘roadies’ with us, so all load in/set up/load out was done by me!

A big thank you to all of the places that provide housing for us: Bruce and Suzy Bingham (Arizona); Steve and Kim Davis (Tennessee), Karon and Carlton (North Carolina), Linda and Mike Goff (Oklahoma) Brittani and Matt (and ‘Polly’ and Ezra)(Oklahoma); Larry and Debbie (Sierra Vista); Johnny and Lena Garcia (Las Vegas); Buddy and Marsha (Oakridge); Madeline (Wallowa Lake). We stayed mostly in motels but staying in friends/family homes was nice and allowed us to donate more money.

A huge thank you to Karon Pullen, who drove the second half of the tour with us and sold our SWAG at each venue. 5000 miles of pure joy . .. . . Right, Karon? :0

We have included a ton of pictures, but did not have any from many of our stops including Las Vegas.

We are now booking for the concert season of 2023. We will not book any shows during September (I will be elk hunting). Also, we will not do any more outdoor shows unless under a permanent structure (gazebo, etc) because of the damage done to our equipment at a wedding two years ago when we were caught outside in a horrible storm (some folks said it was a tornado), and it destroyed a sunburst Les Paul as it cartwheeled across a cow field at a wedding!!

Into the Hills Festival Headliners, 2022

New Album out in March, 2023: “Pain and Tears Behind”:

  • We are currently recording a new album of all original material (no covers) to be released in April, 2023. It is being recorded at “Leggett Gulch” studio, and is to be of better quality than our first two albums (pretty disappointed in the acoustic quality of those). Watch for updates on release.
We stayed at Bruce and Suzy Binghams during our shows in Safford, Arizona. This is the massive pronghorn he harvest right after we left.

Background and BIO

Amy handles the majority of the vocals for Country Moonshine and is a three-time Oregon vocalist of the year in consecutive years for the Moose. She has tremendous range and tone. Amy has owned her own businesses and has served in various philantropic roles. She also served for many years on city council, and has volunteered for countless organizations. Right now, her major musical influences are Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood.

Don is a retired school superintendent who earned his Masters Degree at Oregon State (GO BEAVS!!) and his Doctorate in Gifted Education at Walden University. The major musical influence for Don is Cody Canada, with the fantastic guitar playing and vocals demonstrated in The Departed and Cross Canadian Ragweed (back in the day!). Don plays all of the instruments (drums, fiddle, banjo, keyboards, guitar, bass) and records the background music while playing the ‘lead instrument’ live. Don started on the violin in second grade, and also plays the viola. He writes all of the music and lyrics for Country Moonshine’s original songs.

Equipment, Instruments and Lighting

Country Moonshine performs with only the best in equipment and instruments. An electronic fiddle is used for all fiddling songs, and primary guitars include Fender Telecaster, Ovation Electric/Acoustic and other guitars as needed. Wireless guitar/fiddle connection provides for mobility and crowd interaction during shows. High quality concert atmosphere is provided with state of the art PA and lighting/effects (lasers, fog, flood lights, etc). Country Moonshine is equipped for the smallest, most intimate venue to the largest bars and taverns!

Brittani and Matt Goff had us stay at their house when we played in Oklahoma City (Wahtonga)

How much will it cost us to book Country Moonshine?

Don and Amy only charge enough to cover expenses.
